A Jatiya Party lawmaker, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, on Sunday in Jatiya Sangsad sought step from the Leader of the House, Sheikh Hasina, to pass his private members bill on controlling hartal (general strike) to help mass people in Bangladesh get relief from destruction in the name of hartals. Hartal is not a constitutional right, he said, adding that it was not a language of democracy. The whole nation is looking at the Parliament for a decision, he said.
