At least 10 workers were injured in gas cylinder explosion in a LP gas storehouse at Bhuigar Kazibari bus stand in Fatullah of Narayanganj sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The police said an explosion took place in the storehouse of M/S Ruhin enterprise at 6:00am that blew up the tin shed of the warehouse and two walls, creating panic among the residents of the area.
Local people rescued 10 workers from the storehouse with burn injuries. The injured were admitted to burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Other workers fled the scene soon after the incident.
The police seized a pickup van of Ruhin enterprise from the premises of the storehouse but its driver fled away.
