Three public prosecutors (PP) have been removed on charge of settling a murder case outside the court.
They are--PP Abdul Motin, additional PP Khoda Box and Assistant PP Khairul Bashar.
Additional Public Prosecutor Md Helalur Rahman, also the acting PP, confirmed the matter, saying that an official order in this regard from the ministry concerned reached Bogra yesterday.
According to the letter, the removal came into effect on August 8 and it followed a probe report, the acting PP said.
Earlier, the three accused were temporarily suspended as per order of the High Court, following a newspaper report that they arranged settling Dr Shuvro murder case, filed with Kahalu police station, outside the court.
